The overall goal of the Business Innovation Partnership is to engage the value-added industry into undertaking activities that will improve their entrepreneurial skills in areas that have been identified as critical factors for success in global markets. The Business Innovation Partnership will help BC companies implement these success factors through: assessments, workshops, sector specific projects, and company specific projects.
Assessments
The Business Innovation Partnership service providers will meet with value-added companies across BC to conduct an analysis of the company in areas of marketing, business, technical and product design, and development.
Workshops
The Business Innovation Partnership offers many different workshops that are targeted towards helping companies improve business, marketing, and manufacturing approaches as well as developing and distributing bulletins containing market intelligence, and technical and product development updates.
Sector Specific Projects
Sector Specific projects are a set of more narrowly defined activities designed to meet the more specific needs of different value-added sectors such as the furniture or log home and timber frame manufacturers. The activities delivered within the Sector Specific module address many of the same subjects as the workshops such as market development and improving manufacturing efficiencies but address more specific sets of concerns common to manufacturers in the same industry.
Company Specific Projects
Company Specific Projects are designed to improve an individual company’s knowledge of business planning, increased marketing capacity, adoption of new technology in manufacturing, and enhanced product development and design that will encourage industry participation.
