British Columbia’s has a world-class value-added wood products manufacturing.  Unfortunately, much of it is not as well known as it could be to our own architectural and designer community nor, in many cases, do they know how to fully access it.  As a result, in many cases, imported or alternative products have been specified to the detriment of both the architect and designer community and BC’s value-added wood industry.  BC Wood’s Architect and Designer Program addresses both of these shortcomings.

For the Architect and Designer Community:

As a Registered Provider with both AIBC and IDIBC, BC Wood offers accredited lunch & learn sessions, seminars and factory tours.  The Lunch & Learn seminars provide an overview of BC’s entire value-added wood products with the following learning objectives:

  1. Better understand the breadth and depth of products from BC’s value-added wood industry
  2. Increase knowledge of environmental and green issues relative to BC’s value-added wood products
  3. Learn how to easily access information re products, services and technical information from BC’s entire value-added wood industry

BC Wood provides a catered lunch in your offices and the sessions last for one hour.

BC Wood also offers:

  • Seminars on specific topics of interest**
  • Factory tours**
  • Specifiers Guide

**BC Wood accredited activities and qualify for Learning Units.
